Data Retention Policy

Completed brackets and inactive published brackets are scheduled for archive six calendar months after the applicable completion, latest matchup, or organizer-update reference. Owners receive one 30-day and one 7-day warning.

Archive and Trash

Archive removes the live public state while preserving private organizer access and eligible exports. Trash is recoverable for 30 days, after which canonical content and associated assets are purged unless a legal, security, payment, or accounting retention hold applies.

Temporary and aggregate data

Raw analytics events expire after 30 days. Authentication intents, invitations, preview/payment tokens, mutation receipts, rate-limit records, and test sessions use short expiration policies. Aggregated anonymous metrics, security audits, payment references, and backups can remain longer for integrity, fraud prevention, recovery, and legal obligations.
